the i need to build an ark MMP....

Got it! I like it better than ‘yankin’

Sincerely,
Anchor.

Red, I actually thought that assorted nuts would be a good gift - several individual packages. It’ll be more than $10, but what the heck!

**nellie **- just to be clear, I’m not worried about being bored in retirement - I just didn’t want to spend my last day here twiddling my thumbs. I quit the job I had before this one because I’d go hours with nothing to do, and the boss didn’t seem to care. And there was no intrarwebz access, so it was truly boring!!! My little RoxStar will most likely keep me on my toes, for certain!

My desk is oddly bare. I’ve pretty much emptied the drawers, and assorted candies are strewn in the drawers - my going-away gift to B.E. There’s a white board at the end of our hallway, and I left a message on it: Do not despair - Another 40 or 50 years and you, too, can retire!

I crack me up!

Happy Thursday!!

You’re wrapping & giving Mumpers? Is that even legal?

Oh, **Spidey **- you so funneee! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve got two interviews today and one on Monday.

The one on Monday… maaaaaaan… the company is one of which I’ve had a good opinion for a very long time, and the location is… oh maaaaaaaan…

I want that job SOOOO BAD!

Lady Luck hates my guts. We’re doing Secret Santa (except for The Littlest Nephew, who’s going to get multiple toys because that’s what happens when you’re a Littlest Nephew and still in preschool), and once more I’ve gotten 1.SiL. I know that 1.SiL doesn’t like and even despises everything I happen to like, but I’m not really sure what does she like. I hope she’ll like rosewood-scented soap, because that’s what I got her.

Up. Been up. Dang! Siamese cats were in full voice at 6am. Fed and washed they are now sleeping. A**holes.
Mr.Wrekker got up early and went to his breakfast club. I giggle everytime he calls it that. I picture a bunch of old redneck guys in detention.
I may go back to bed. Or I may clean the kitchen floor. What a choice!!

Nellie- that was scary. Be careful.
FCM-have a great last day!!

Good luck with the interviews, Nava; hope the great job comes your way.

nellie, happy you’re ok, my bane is people backing out of parking lots as I am walking by.

nettie, butters, hope you feel better today. And Butters, like your Husband-unit, I always overpack…shouldn’t be any harm, except to his back from lifting it…

Got the garbage out, changed the air filter in the house and will run the dishwasher after dinner and then go coach indoor soccer tonight…and that is about the size of my activity list today.

41F heading for 53F today but rain tomorrow. Oh joy.

It’s Christmas, Silly!

Happy Thorsday!

It was a cold 22 degrees when I went to the park this morning, but my toes were warm. Can’t say the same for my fingers and my nose.
Happy Last Day FCM

I want to retire, but I can’t, not yet anyway.

Howdy. Got hubs to the airport way too early but whatever. He wants to sit there three hours go for it. Our tiny airport only requires about a half hour early. I made myself some breakfast and have been listening to the impeachment hearings. What a mess.

I do see nappage later as I had a very late night. It was probably 2 am before I was able to get to sleep. Nothing else on the agenda today. Not gonna leave the house unless I take Buddyboy to the doggie park later. Has been drizzly out so far.

Happy Thursday everyone.

Those of you receiving Social Security - did you get written notice of when your payments would begin? I applied in Sept and according to the SSA website, it’s still being processed. I don’t know if I should be worried or not.

It’s cold outside. And we had a pet collision in the living room.

Glad you’re OK, nellie.

Currently attending a webinar, and the speaker is an analyst from Moody’s Analytics. He says the economy is doing well, and the weak areas are related to the trade war and tariffs.

I finally decided to replace the balky ice maker in the freezer. I had purchased a replacement about six months ago, but the old one was limping along and sorta behaving itself. But in the past week, it’s gotten worse and requiring intervention nearly every day.

It’s an easy thing to replace: loosed up two screws, lift the unit out, unplug it from the octopus connector, done. What I had forgotten is that ice makers also have a heating unit for when the buggers freeze up. Just so happened that it had kicked on about the time I started fussing with the unit. Burned the ever-lovin’ crap out of two fingers before I realized that what I was feeling was heat, not cold. Luckily not on my fret hand, or guitar practice would be a problem.

On the plus side, we have ice!

He may be right, or at least as right as any economist ever is.

Driving back from Maupin Monday, Wifey had the impeachment hearings on the radio. 2 anna half hours of *“He did not!”, “He dd so!” “You lot are liers!” “You lot are liers!” * I don’t know how people can watch that stuff. It’s like a never ending argument at a daycare center.

I figured out my Fitbit problem and got it see my wifi again. Now my phone has decided to download all of my deleted emails from the server again. Last time I had to go out to the server and delete them from there. I’ll have to do that again.

If it’s not one thing, it’s two.

Going to go see a new doctor this afternoon about my gall stones, to see what he thinks we should do about them. I don’t even notice the pain most of the time anymore, but I suppose something should be done.

Mom, the SSI payments are supposed to begin in your birth month, but I kinda remember mine starting a bit later and getting, IIRC, the first two months at once. Someone with a better memory, (pretty much anybody), should be along shortly to correct me.

Do they make hats with flashing red and white lights and a siren built in? I’m thinking I should wear one when I go out so drivers stop their shenanigans. Or would I get arrested for impersonating an officer’s car? Anyway, another day, and I’m going to try hard not to be out after dark.

I’m going to put on Christmas movies and wrap gifts. Then I shall put up the tree. I’m oddly reluctant to put it up this year. I don’t know why.

DD and SIL are definitely coming for Christmas! Woo-hoo! I invited her sister-in-law, too, as she goes to grad school out here and I think isn’t planning on traveling to the family home. She came last Christmas, too. Very nice person.

Nellie, I’ve seen hats with blinkie lights at Walmart. They are Christmas themed. Not sure if they would be bright enough.
You need a miners hardhat with a built in light (:))
Reflective tape down your jacket arms might help.

I guess I’m now officially retired! I had my exit interview, chatted with the company president and his exec assistant, received my clock, and turned in my key.

My next paycheck will be my last, and it should include all my unused vacation time.

So, what to do for supper…

FCM youll usually get a notice in the mail about 2 to 4 weeks before you start but once you sign up for direct deposit any increases or decreases happen days before you get a mailed explination

although theres one instance where there wasnt a known explinarion for the extra check i received on the fri before xmas …i even told them they sent me money i wasnt supposed have … the ssa clerk looked to see if they owed me any and said no they didnt but since they only keep a skellton staff til nyd and she didnt want go start an investigation that could take days that one was on them and merry xmas … and i never heard anything about it ever again…

thanks, shady. Fortunately, we’ve got some savings, so if it doesn’t start when I expect it, we won’t have to fight the dogs for their kibble.

Supper was leftover chicken in gravy, noodles, and peas-n-carrots. My dessert is Lindt truffles that Josh gave me. Chillage shall soon ensue.
