Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.
Congrats, GuanoLad!

**FCD **is supposed to get his machines delivered and installed today. He’s all excited. I’m in the office. rah.
You know I have some weird dreams, but last night, I think I topped them all. We hired a guy with a trained rhinoceros to walk back and forth across our front lawn to even out the high and low spots. I remember thinking “I hope the rhino doesn’t poop on our lawn” and I was ticked off because the guy parked his truck so that it blocked me from getting out of my garage.
I can usually trace bits of my dreams back to something during the day that might have triggered then, but this came out of nowhere. My brain is a strange place.
Happy Wednesday!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWB ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and mostly cloudy with a predicted high of 84 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. A nice Mid-September day! Today’s plans are to first clean up the yahd which won’t be all that bad and then go geezer shoppin’ at the Pubic Sto’. Whlst I am geezer shoppin’ I shall figure out dindin.
BatKid cool!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. When I have enough daylight to see yahd cleanage shall commence. Rah.
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
I’ve got much to do today. Wishing you all a great day.
Crap. I thought I had an interview tomorrow. Turns out the recruiter accidentally sent me the wrong date–it’s today. I was hoping I’d have a day to get over my black cloud of doom before I had to be professional.
Howdy Y’all! The yahd is all cleanded up and geezer shoppin’ has been accomplished. Go Me! I bought a rotissed chikin for dindin tonight. I shall figure out vegetative matter to go along with at some point.
BigKitty good luck with the interview!
Many bad words have been uttered this morning. I’ve been having a few issues with the current drawing from hell. Yay for lunch break!!
How about this guy?. He looks like he could be fun on a drunken bus trip.
But she’s from that side of the pond. Do you know why the Scots were so successful on the battlefield when being led by bagpipes? It wasn’t because of skill or tactics; it was the world’s first PsyOps - the enemy dropped their weapons, covered their ears, & ran screaming from the battlefield, “The noise! Make it stop!”
Well, AT&T accomplished the heretofore impossible and managed to piss me off worse than my current phone/internet service so I’m cancelling them and staying with my current company. Long story that I will not bore you with.
To comfort myself I visited the Golden Corral buffet and over-indulged, so feeling bloaty.
Still dripping water from the sky, so I expect the soccer fields will be closed tonight for the third day in a row. Now I’m wondering if the fields will dry out enough to play on Saturday.
spidey, here’s a bagpipe performance even you might enjoy: Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Song - EPIC Bagpipes & Cello version - YouTube
ruble, all I have to say to that video is \m/
I think the interview went well. I got the drug screen paperwork in my email so that’s a promising sign.
Metal Mouse sorry to hear about AT&T. We were thinking about switching to them. Now - maybe not.
Big Kitty - good luck!
Bagpipes are awesome. So there.
She should get on the bus with an accordion!
My mom’s cat has arrived to inspect my lunch. He was absorbed into her family when his family lost their home to re-possession and moved, without him. He started hanging out in my mom’s yard that was it - new kitteh! He’s convinced he will starve to death however, and eats everything he can get his little paws into. He’s very sweet, and he has the whole Siamese cross-eyed thing going on.
Happy Wed-nes-day.
One of my FB friends - a personal friend for nearly 50 years - posted a pic of her mother’s grave marker, since it’s the anniversary of her Mom’s death. I liked her mother - she was a whacky, fun mom and a nice lady.
But the grave marker… First line, her name. Second line (all in caps) REPUBLICAN, followed by wife, mother, and grandmother. Seems to me to be an odd thing to prioritize above family, let alone to put on the marker at all. To each, his own.
Supper is Hamburger Helper because I didn’t feel like cooking real food. But I did add veggies, so that sorta counts as cooking. My daughter is going back to stay with her grandparents since they may not get power till Sunday. Dunno if her husband will be going or not. I feel so sorry for them.
FCD’s new machines are nifty, neato! He’s still got to hook them up, but they’re pretty much ready to go. Such is life at FairyChatEstates.
Dindin ended up bein’ rotissed chikin, succotash, smashed N.O.T. with gravy (from a mix, don’t judge!), and rolls. Not too shabby if’n I do say so myself. I’m goin’ to help JDD to clean up limbs at the house in Parrott, Jawja tomorrow. We’ll do that, clean up, go to Dawson and have N.O.L. at the good Mexican place, and then visit with Miss Becky for a bit. Sounds like enough to keep me outta trouble.
’
Littlest Miss won a certificate today for “respectfulness,” and it came with a free meal at the good Mexican place not in Dawson. So that’s nice.
Meatballs in gravy, smashed N.O.T., green beans, and biscuits for dinner.
AT&T has a special way with customer service. So does verizon, BTW
I’m a big fan of bagpipes, I am. I have a practice chanter, (the part with the finger holes that makes the actual melody) but, much to my chagrin, am completely inept at producing a recognizable melody with it. Maybe someday.
I forget what I came in here to say.
Carry on.

Shouldn’t a bagpiper be wearing a tartan kilt? ![]()
A single bagpiper playin’ in the distance is beautiful. I’m sure I mentioned that at Mr. Frank’s funeral a bagpiper stood apart from everyone and played Flowers Of The Field and at the end played Going Home where he started walkin’ away toward the end. A lot of us sort of lost it when he did that but it was so beautiful!
On that note, we are retirin’ to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
ruble, I’m glad BB and the rest of your kin are OK.
nuts, we have this guy in one of our underpasses: The Nashville Tunnel Tuba Man - YouTube
It’s another cold, rainy day here. It is supposed to warm up to normal temps this weekend. It won’t come soon enough for me. Leftover chicken tortilla soup and a salad for supper.
Gallstones.
Crap.
