The Irma Comes To Visit MMP

They gonna take your gallbladder ?

Nah – and neither do these guys.

(Friends – especially the accordion player)

Work wasn’t bad; another three and out. The 18 hour promise may come into play this week.

Yup. My son just hauled me to the ER with another attack.

I want good pain meds and I want them NOW.

I worked, got my tire plugged. Needed to borrow my roommate’s tire iron, I bent the Volvo one getting the lugs off. Making baked fried chicken with potato wedges and green beans with ham and pepper.

He’d also be good for starting grills at tailgates.

Sucks about the damp and AT&T, MetalMouse. But I like the video, the piper could shiver my timbers anytime.

Ruble, “drinking and fighting”? Sounds like a typical Pittsburgh wedding song. :D;)

Sunny, I will say all of the AT&T people I met, both in person and on the phone, were uniformly nice; they just couldn’t figure out how to ‘port’ my phone number over, and their passing the buck (politely, of course) finally kicked in my Popeye reflex (I’ve had all I can stands and I can’t stands no more).

2gig, I had my gall bladder out 25 years ago and I still remember how much it was hurting. Hope it goes well and they can remove it via laproscopy, you’ll be back up in less than a week.

I believe I may have over-indulged at the Buffet, still have no appetite for dinner and my bowels have been singing the songs of their people for the last several hours (I know, TMI, but it’s a phrase i don’t get to use all that much).

Tugig ugh. I hope they fix you up soon. It sounds miserable.

We went to a place downtown for din-din that has decided to “freshen” up their menu. Not a good play. It was disappointing.

Tomorrow I get up early and fly back to Orygun. My face hurts from the last round of treatments, but so far I don’t look like I lost a bar fight!

I want ice cream. Off to scheme on how to get some.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I’m in the ER shot up with morphine. Certainly much better than a few hours ago.

I’ve had dozens of kidney stones, broken my left leg 3x, kinda used to the routine.

So thankful for modern medicine.

they took mine for being so infected with gangrene it was dissolving internally
youll get probably morphine…what they gave me until my dad found out and had them change it … I couldn’t figure out why I was really sick when before they were gonna send me home … they changed to Demerol and my tummy didn’t like it … brother told me about it weeks after I was out …

But I don’t want to see their legs.
Sheesh, whose side are you on?

Glad you got use of modern medicine; iffn you hadn’t yet, I’d offer to come down there & kick you in the shin soooo hard that you’d forget all about the gallbladder; because us mumpers take care of each other. :o
I got stung by one yellow jacket & almost another one or two; apparently, there was a ground nest right where where I placed the camera pod leg.

Thanks Spidy, I knew I could count on you!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 86 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. JDD and I will head up to large and in charge Parrott, Jawja in a little while. Plan is to be there when there is enough daylight to see so we can get goin’ on the limb pickup. We’re hopin’ a couple of hours will do it. Then we’ll clean up, go visit Miss Becky, have N.O.L. and hopefully be back by early afternoon.

{{{gigity}}} hopefully by now you are sans gall bladder and havin’ a blast with the good drugs.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. I shall brush my teeth and shave, don grubbies and off to Parrott we shall be!

Peaches forgot to comment yestiddy. Yay for Little Miss and the certificate plus the free Mexican grub!

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Well, tugig, barring infection, having a gallbladder removed is generally a no-biggie. For me, the worst part of post-surgery was having to sleep in a recliner for a couple of days because it hurt too much to lie flat. Spousal unit, on the other hand, had a badly infected gallbladder and he spent 3 days in the hospital, having had surgery on his birthday, poor baby… For some idiotic reason, the ER didn’t bother notifying him or his doctor about the infection, and when he went back because he was still in agony, they admitted him right away and yanked the evil thing that night.

So there’s the 2 extremes. Except for the old days when you’d end up with a long scar down your side like my dad did. I’ll take the 3 little incisions any day.

Good morning. I’ve been mostly up since a little after 2. I am exhausted. It’s gonna be a long-ass day. Happy Thursday.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing shift tonight.

So last night I come home from rehearsal, and I see a shirtless guy in the kitchen!
He was a guest that my roommate and I had over, not some random guy.

Hope you all have a good day. {{Hugs}} to those who need them.

Good morning! I am told a stone likely rolled down the duct, blocking the whole system, and now I have pancreatitis. The answer is no food or water for a few days, just IV fluids, then a procedure to clear the stone, more rest, than the gallbladder surgery.

So it looks like I am going to be out of it for awhile. Fortunately it’s a nice hospital with nice people, so I get to sleep & surf away my days until it’s over.

{{giggity}}

I slept in again this morning. My excuse is that I took half a Benadryl last night. Starting tomorrow I’m getting up with the alarm and getting back on my routine, including brushing Samantha. I’ve been so low lately I’ve slacked on her daily brushings. She left a hairball on the carpet to remind me why brushin’ is a necessity.

Them Downstairs are going to the Outer Banks on Saturday for a week. I foresee a lot of upstairs visits from Big Fat Durwood Cat.

tugig it sounds like they’re taking good care of you, instead of throwing you back into the rain (right?).

I survived the cryo-ablation thingie yesterday, with only minimal swelling and none of that horrid bruising from last time. We’ll see how it goes. I’m heading out to the airport in a few minutes. Homeward bound!

Happy Thorsday everyone!

Same here. But having known a few people with repeating gallbladder issues at some point removal is the best bet.

That was actually part of the inspiration.

Any side that lets me post an obscure video or music link like this.

(for poetry fans among us)

Close — so close.

Up and adulting. Getting ready for work and a colonial fair this weekend. Desk progress is good and the painters back is feeling better so he is making progress on the outside of the house. If the rain holds off somewhat it could be a better than average Thursday.
