flytrap, congrats on the pups, but remember, once they’re weaned, spay and neuter mama and any pups that you keep.
{{{swampy, friends and family}}}
Mooooom, I’m kinda with you on teh mixed breed names. Nelson would be a rat-a-hua or a chi-terr.
Today was a slow, rainy day. We were bored enough that my department had an inpromtu team lunch at the Mexican restaurant next door. It did improve morale. I still bugged out a little early, swung through the post office to drop some mail in the blue box, came home and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom. Now it’s nuking something for supper and chilling.
It got dark and windy.
I tried sitting outside, figuring it would be too windy for the skeeters.
They bit me on the downwind side.
The cat showed up, came in and ate, then wanted right back out. I told him oh no, you need to stick around for awhile. Doncha think people around here miss you?
He didn’t want to stick around, so back outside he went.
He is losing weight, he doesn’t look like he just swallowed a grapefruit anymore.
The floor/shower tile guys did show up today and work in the bathroom is progressing. They’ll be here Firday and have also indicated that they’d like to work Sattiday to catch up on the builder’s schedule. OK by me, we’ll work out entry procedures tomorrow. I just want the work to get done and have a complete house again.
Soccer practice went well, then had to sit through a Bored…err, Board meeting. Ate a Burger at the King’s place and am contemplating heading off to bed early.
Sari, cat is up to something, like doggio infers, is there a ladycat in the area?
Midget, you sound a little more upbeat. Yeah! Have fun at Dad’s place.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Movers arrive on Monday. 'Beamer does not understand AKA refuses to participate in this “moving” thing. MiL must get out of her room so it can be packed. Hotel? Visit to friends?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out and fair (well, dark) with a predicted high of 92 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I have no big plans for the day. YAY! I shall assist with mowage over to the church house this evenin’ and again tomorrow mornin’, but pretty much have nuttin’ I need to do durin’ the day. I foresee some quality cee-mint pond time. Burgers 'n fries for sup tonight which I will have to make but 'tis an easy thing to accomplish.
Flytrap yet more proof that fart blossoms are satan’s veggie.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day.
And TGIF. We’re promised a cooler and very rainy weekend. I hope so. Other than that, I got nothing - just a lot of work on my desk to fill the time between now and 3:30.
After a night of abysmally poor sleep, I was awoken at 7:30 AM by the return of the extremely loud next-door renovators. Noise and vibrations. What a nice birthday present.
Doing stuff like that at 7.30am would be breaking noise regs round here… Go yodel outside theirs at 3am.
Back early from irk. It’s all nice and sunny, though not very warm. I should go out and make the most of the weather, really, autumn proper’s gonna kick in soon enough.
It’s a N.O.S. 72 degrees outside. Going to be a bit cooler today with highs in the low 80s.
Ripple is being an obnoxious brat this morning. He is hyper and wants to play. Usually he naps in the mornings.
The cat came in, ate, napped, ate some more, so I guess the ‘ladies’ are wearing him out.
Nothing much on the agenda today.
Making hamburgers for dinner.
Yesterday I finally found out the name of the nextdoor neighbour’s cat (the neighbour who lives on the other side of me, not the loud-renovator-hiring neighbours.) The cat’s name is Julio.
