The Official "Lost" Questions Thread - Season 2

But Ethan didn’t take Walt. Zeke/Bluebeard did. If those can be considered the Others, then we have an answer.

Nah, sounds like a nickname to me. If someone has reason for me to believe otherwise, let me know.

I’m not following you on this one.

That one I’ll buy. I think it needs to be reworded though. Let me think on it.

Well, first of all, I think this should probably be discussed in the main thread. But I’m not overly concerned either. I think they do talk about most of this stuff. We probably just don’t see the conversations. For instance, I can’t believe Charlie managed to keep his mouth shut about the monster.

The polar bear isn’t a secret any more and Claire did tell Charlie about the psychic. And Hurley started to tell Charlie about the numbers. I think there’s more information sharing than we actually see.

He got shot first, but I know what you are saying. It looked like Sawyer fired and the bullet richoted back at him.

But I watched it several times, worrying that there was a force field being introduced! :smack:

After mulitple viewing it was pretty clear that before Sawyer’s gun gets to firing position, he is shot. There was no flash or recoil from his gun.

And then later, Jack mentions that he believes BB only has one buddy with a gun in the woods. That would be the shooter.

A few new questions that may need rewording:

  • Does Bluebeard’s crew part of the same group as Goodwin and Ethan? or Did Bluebeard’s group orchestrate the capture of the Tailies?

  • With whom did Jack’s wife have an affair? (possibly too speculative for our standards!)

  • How did Bluebeard’s crew light and extinguish their torches so quickly?

  1. Yeah, I’ve been trying to keep things vague enough all along to keep those posibilites open. I’m not sure I want seperate questions asking “Is this group part of that group”. The cross referencing could get crazy.

  2. Currently too speculative. Until I have reason to believe the Other Man (hmmmm…) is someone we know, I’ll leave it out.

  3. Doesn’t strike me as significant. Plus, we know these guys have access to things our group doesn’t. And a boat. My own speculation is that BB’s group goes to the mainland on occasion to get supplies. They could easily be capable of all sorts of things without that violating what we already know.

Yeah. I agree with all of those points.

Just to add fuel to the fire here…
I started a Tai Chi class on Saturday. The symbol/logo for the Taoist Tail Chi Society is a Ba-Gua - the same yin-yang symbol thingie that on the Dharma Initiative logo. Also, the Tai-Chi “set” has 108 moves.

Is this significant? Who the hell knows?! I just thought it was odd…

108 is frequently regarded as a “special” number in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism. Anyone that calls their operation “The Dharma Initiative” would be tuned in to that.

Note: Many of the examples in the link are numerological fudgings – but it speaks to the attributed significance.

Since they mentioned it in last night’s episode:

Where did the new washer & dryer come from?

I dunno. Myself, I was thinking it was more of an inside joke/nod to the audience kinda thing.

What do the rest of you think?

Dharma (and Greg) got it at Sears. Total bitch to schedule delivery, but it finally came.

I think TPTB have been reading Television Without Pity. The same with using the word “tailies”.

Obviously we need a way to determine if they’re reading this forum or TVWP.

Hey “Lost” writers! If you could find a way to work my name into a future episode, that would really clear things up. Thanks!

There.

I think TPTB have been reading Television Without Pity. The same with using the word “tailies”.

Were there really any new questions raised last night?

Maybe “Is Charlie using again?”

He never really answered Locke’s question.

He did tell Jack that he hadn’t used any and the statues were unbroken. At least until Locke caught him breaking one.

THe only question I can think of is: “Why was Ecko marking the trees?”

I think Eko is going to be making a new Jesus stick.

Maybe “What are Jack and AL building in the jungle?” though I think that (A) we’ll find out very soon and (B) it’s probably something to do with the army they were talking about training.

Are they building something and I missed that part? I thought they were just going off into the jungle together and coming back together. Which doesn’t strike me as unusual.

There was the scene where they were tying the blue tarp to a framework as AL asked if Jack was “tapping that”. That’s what I’m referring to.

Okay, some maybe new, maybe good questions:

Were Ethan and Zeke in the same group?

If not, how did Zeke know their names?

If so, what was the purpose of meeting up with the posse in the jungle?
