The Start of The MMP

Howdy Y’all! Been an icky, dreary, rainy, cold day here in south Jawja. Got stuff taken care of this mornin’ and have been in da cave ever since. Pizza got ingested and all is good. We have a new Bishop. He was elected on the first ballot even. Not a big surprise he was elected (popular with Whiskypalians in these parts) but I really thought it’d go at least three ballots for the required majority from both clergy and laity. He is already a Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese so pretty much knows how to Bishop already.

That’s the news from swampland.

Evening all. Managed to waste the afternoon, never got out of the house save to get the newspaper in the morning and the mail in the afternoon. Just finished my Big Bowl o’Sallit, topped off with three Mini-Snickers bars (the Halloween leftovers are going to take some more…work on my part).

Looking at the weather conditions for my soccer games (refereeing) tomorrow, it’s predicted to be 35F at 0830, 44F at 1030, and 54F at 2:45pm…need to bring several changes of clothes, I think.

All y’all have a good firday night.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN I was a slugabed and did not arise until six-thirty! ‘Tis 46 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 58 and maybe N.O.S. this afternoon. TWPTB are kind of willy-nilly on this. I need to go to Sam’s today to purchase some cleanin’ supplies for the church house. However, I really donjuana! I should get it done and over, go I shall. We will most likely then go have N.O.L. somewhere just because we will be out and about. Other than that, I foresee sloth. If’n we eat out for N.O.L. any other need to feed will be via forage.

MetalMouse have fun and don’t overdo it out there on the soccer field.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, bother of bothers, I suppose I should purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

I dragged myself out of bed at 6 and was in the office a few minutes after 7. Turns out Brent didn’t leave me any extra stuff to do and I’m almost done with the one thing he did leave, so I’ll spend a few hours on the latest mess from Baby Engineer. To be clear, he didn’t make the mess. We’re revising drawing that were done 15-ish years ago, and some are pretty bad. I figure I’ll be out of her absolutely no later than 11.

Then, naturally, there’s laundry to be done.

Happy Saturday!!

At the end of the street, an old NordicTrack elliptical machine had been sitting for a week with a ‘FREE’ sign on it. The start of my 2-mile walking route takes me right by it, so yesterday I thought I’d try it out. I’d never used one before. The movement was easy, but I knew that I would only be able to do a couple minutes at a time starting out. I finished my walk. Later, I noticed that muscles I hadn’t used before were sore – after only a few seconds on the elliptical machine. OK, if those muscles aren’t being worked already, I need to go get that machine so I can work them. I still had three hours to work before I could log off though. Someone had taken the machine. Isn’t that the way it always goes? Something sits for a week until you decide you want it; and when you go to get it, it’s gone.

In other news, my 17" MacBook Pro seems to have finally died. There’s a known problem with the graphics chip, and nobody will fix it.

Happy Saturday!

Although it feels like Firday to me.

Cold 27 degrees when we left for the park, the sun came out and it warmed up to 32 by the time we got home.
Later today we’ll be heading over to the daycare for the pictures with Santa fundraiser for the animal rescue.
I need to make stuffed peppers some time today, being that the ground beef has been thawing in the fridge.
I have friends coming over tomorrow, so extra cleaning will get done. Maybe.
My son will watch the dogs while we go out to lunch, probably to the Mexican restaurant. I told him I’d bring him back some fried cheesecake.
I need to do some laundry, and I really should suck up some leaves, but I just want to take a nap.

Good morning!

Up, caffeinating, bed stripped, towels and sheets in the wash, puppy crate cleaned and breakfasted. I shall do KP and purtify soon to head to Spring Hill for a Marketplace pickup.

The beer park was fun last night and Nelson was fussed over in his tartan tie.

what is MMP?

what is MMP?

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Cold and windy today. But hockey, so yay!

I’s the nihilists you have to worry about.

Welcome, Mort! The MMP is the most mundane pointless section of MPSIMS.

**Mort **- this sticky explains much of it.

Home from work - I got 3 anna half hours in and tied up a few loose ends. Once I got back, I filled my tires - 3 of the 4 were low. Now I’m lunching and listening for the baby. Shortly, I will do my laundry.

It’s quite chilly and windy here - I expect to veg indoors for the rest of the day.

And here I had believed it to be the Monday Morning Post. :dubious:

**Flytrap **- read the sticky. Sheesh! :stuck_out_tongue:

Irking this morning is a waste of time. Irk is slow, and I could be doing other things, which I have been doing other small things, but I have bigger things that need doing.

I’m not looking forward to going back out, but people are expecting me, so I will go. It’ll probably be fun once I get there.

My friends are definitely coming tomorrow, everything is open ended planned, as in they will be here, but I don’t know when, and we’ll probably go to lunch, but we don’t know where.

It looks like the neighbors are over there getting the rest of their stuff. Has Ripple all wound up running to the window to see what is going on. Echo is busy making a mess by chewing up the innards of their bed.

Well, I had a CAT scan of my gut yesterday.
The 12-year-old PA said I don’t have diverticulitis, but I do have kidney stones. :frowning: I didn’t know kidney stones presented with these peculiar symptoms, but there’s a lot I don’t know.

I also had to provide a stool sample, which is sitting on the coffee table, double bagged, waiting for me to drop it by the hospital. Let me just say that the collection apparatus they supply could use some improvement.

Today we’re supposed to drive an hour or so south to watch #2GrandSon play water polo. It’s the finals. It is fun, even though we have no idea what all the referees’ whistles and hand gestures mean.

I don’t really want to do anything, but my stomach and lower GI is gonna hurt whether I’m here or there, so I’ll go. Maybe I’ll be able to forget the ‘discomfort’ for a little while.

‘discomfort’ is a word the medical people use when what they mean is “This is gonna hurt/”

The lawn service guys are next door again. I think they employ every loud, annoying power device known to man (or woman), and apparently get paid by the hour. Or maybe by the decibel.

Well I need to go make myself presentable.

Y’all have a nice Satidday.

However we Mumpers ourselves defy explanation.

I heard something on the television last night about “seends for brains” and almost at once I thought of …
Thursday I was partly trained in a new task at Da Jungle. So of course today I ended up in charge of that entire section. Because I have more training at it than anyone else under the roof this AM. :smack: We haven’t hired any blind van drivers ----- so far.

Howdy Y’all! We survived Sam’s and delivered stuff over to the church house. Then, bein’ the gourmands we are, et N.O.L. at Waffle House. OYKW wanted a pee-kahn waffle and snausages, so where better to satisfy that gnawin’ and cravin’? I got an order of smothered, covered, and chunked hash browns with a side of bacon. I’m sure my cholesterol medicine hates me for that.

**FCD **is still working, as is Daughter. I ran to the Chaptico Deli and got fried chickie and sides for supper, since the day got away from me and I forgot to plan supper.

Roxy is turning into a defiant little cuss, but she’s no match for me. I foresee lots of time-out time in her future.

Oh, and it sucks that it’s dark at 5. Dammit.

Hey, guys.
I took a runner today. Stirred up the whole bunch. I had 2 phones and my CGM. GPS is turned on everything. I have a hotspot on my car. Apparently when they tried to call or text I was somewhere between towers or something. Don’t make lie about it, I don’t know how this crap works anywhoo. You would think I jumped the river and ran away forever the way they acted. I apologized. DIL lectured me. I just let her go on and on. She stopped herself. Mr.Wrekker says I have to leave an itinerary when I leave, from now on. Yeah, right. Like that’s gonna happen.

I drove about 35 miles to a little town. There’s a ancient old women there who sells tulip bulbs.
I bought 250 yellow and red bulbs. I’m not real sure she really knew which bulbs were the colors I wanted. But they were cheap and looked healthy. Dumb me. Now I gotta plant them.
I had a nice ride.
Hope everyone had a good day, as well.

Supper was yum. SIL rinsed the dishes and the dishwasher is sloshing away now. I’m about to assume the recline position. It’s been an interesting day…
