The Start of The MMP

I survived the big (‘0’-year) birthday party at the bar last night. I was fashionably, both late & attired; she didn’t kill me.

So’s you’re sentencing her to hard time? :stuck_out_tongue:

Went to Spring Hill for the pick up. I think I can turn a buck on this one. The portfolio carrier and the small tote were pretty much worth what I paid for the entire lot. Now to sort everything and put it away.

We stopped at the dog park on the way home, so Nelson had a good romp. Supper is shrimp toast, crab Rangoon and a salad.

I slept 11 hours last night! WTF? I guess I was tired. Woke up with swollen hands, but I’m hoping if I glare at them enough, they’ll deflate.

My new favorite town name is Arkadelphia. It’s in Beck’s neck of the woods. It’s in the news because a couple of chem profs there decided to supplement their income by making meth. Whatever. The fact is, it’s so much fun to say. Go on, try it!

Wikipedia claims nobody knows quite why the town was named that. It was Blakelyville until 1839. No zing to that.

Also, it was once known as “The City of Rainbows.” I wish they’d kept that.

That’s a nice little town. 2 very good Universitys. I tried to talk the lil’Wrekker into going to college there. Too close to home I guess.
It’s on the way to Hot Springs. Which is a very nice place.
Yep. The meth-making Profs are all over the news here.

Evening all. Refereed three games (two as an ‘asistant ref’ on the sideline and one as the center. Of course the game I centered lacked one assistant ref (we’re supposed to have 2) and ended up going into overtime, so I got my running in. Home about 5pm, watched a little tackleball while the house warmed up, then had a couple B sammiches (all out of the LT).

Feel OK now, but expect I’ll be tired once I hit the bed.

All y’all take care now.

It’s almost tomorrow.

I took a long nap and now I’m up, finishing laundry.

Had a bit of a wtf moment.
Took the pups to get their pictures with Santa. I was surprised that Ripple was fine with everything, Echo, who is usually very bold, got freaked out by all the noise and confusion. So they posed with Santa, Ripple is going to look very handsome in the pic, Echo will be looking not happy. Then we made little ornaments, got their cookies without decorating them, and on the way out we were handed a little goodie bag to put everything in. Each bag had a ball in it as well.
When I got home I let them split a cookie and threw the balls on the kitchen floor.
So tonight I am sitting in the kitchen and the light goes out for a few seconds and comes back on again. (My son tightened the light bulb, I guess now I need an electrician), but right after the light comes on, I hear thump thump thump coming down the stairs, and then one of the new balls comes rolling across the landing. I knew my son was in the living room, but I called to him anyway to see if maybe I hadn’t seen him go up and maybe he tossed the ball downstairs. Nope he was in the living room, very much a wtf moment until a few seconds later Ripple came down.
Still a little bit of a wtf moment, as Ripple almost never plays with balls.

I got my hair cut and magenta-ed today.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 51 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 62 and partly cloudy (mostly N.O.S.?) for the day. The big plan of the day is deheathenization (I have Chalice duty). We shall return to da cave afterwards and have sammiches for N.O.L. I shall make sup which shall be chikin’ ‘n dressin’ (cornbread dressin’ with chunks of chikin), green beans, squishes, giblet gravy, and cranberry sauce from a can (don’t judge!). I need to practice dressin’ makin’ as I pretty much only do it once a year for Turkey Day which shall soon be upon us.

Sunny is this your new do?

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Morning all. Have retrieved the Sunday paper and plan to do a 2pm lawn mowing (when its due to reach 60F). Sunday dinner is due to be Red Robin (Yum), just have to decide if it will be pre- or post- mowing. 37F and frosty on the grass so morning will be spent indoors.

Have a room space heater that I use in the computer room in the mornings, letting the sun warm up the house a bit before bumping up the heat. It’s not a big unit but it can keep one room toasty.

All y’all have a good Sunday.

Fifteen days non smoking. Dreamt about smoking last night.

When do you plant tulips?

Yay **wet one **. A half a month already.

Morning everyone. Sari my Buddy Boy will get on the edge of the bed and send his toys down the stairs and run fetch them. That’s when he is not expecting me to throw them. He is a very smart pup. I can tell him to go get squirrel or whichever toy and he will do it.

I woke up thinking it was Moanday already. I had to check the calendar on my phone to see. I have the usual chores to do today including never ending laundry.

Have a great Sunday All.

The OW is making breakfast and I’m in relaxing mode. I may or may not check at irk for an extra shift today. The advantage is all of our shifts work a little different since needs change as the day goes by – and I could lower my learning curve going into our busy time. The disadvantage is do I really want to check e-mails 10 times today to see if something pops up? But since the Vikings aren’t televised here locally ---------- who knows what I’ll do.

Another stupid night - I woke a bit after 1 and never really got back to sleep after that. Gonna be a tired day. But **FCD **and I went for breakfast, and he’s now out in the shop. He claims after this weekend, he won’t have to work weekends again for a while. We shall see…

Roxy will be hanging with her other grandmother today. I just tossed a load of towels in the washer, but that should be the extent of my productivity. Netflix and knittage will be the order of the day, methinks.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!

Home from the park. It is a chilly 32 feels like 25 out there, supposed to get up to 45 later.

No company today, friend2 is sick and she is the one who does the driving.
So I have logged in to irk for the morning. Then I’m going to finish laundry and make the stuffed peppers I didn’t get to yesterday.

That’s cool that your Buddy is so smart Butters. I’ve only ever had one dog who knew the names of his toys and would bring the correct one to me. I’m still a little baffled about Ripple carrying a ball upstairs and then rolling it downstairs. He’s really not into playing with balls, except at the park where he will sometimes ‘steal’ one so the other dog will chase him.

WTG wet one!

butters, Nelson will sometimes bring certain toys on command (usually it’s in response to donde esta la cuerda?) but others, he brings what he damn well pleases. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tis the beginning of a fairly lazy Sunday. There’s a load of jeans in the wash that will go into the dryer in a few minutes, a load of other clothes will follow, the breakfasts/lunches need to be set up for the week and supper (butter chick peas and lentil-tomato stuffed eggplant) fixed, but those are the usual Sunday chores.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Kitchen cleaning and laundry today. The sun came out, so it is merely cold, not dreary.

I was thinking this:smiley:

Congrats! You can keep it up!

Gordie will occasionally toss a toy, then stare at it, waiting for it to thow itself back.(His elevator doesn’t go all the way to the penthouse).

Swampy’s image is closer, but not quite right. I’ll try to post a picture later.
Today we’re supposed to go to SF for the day. donwanna

They spent the night in the hard frost we had last week. They need to be in the ground NOW. Before we get another freeze or heavy rain. I planted one flower bed this morning. I have 3 more to go.

Sunny! You astound me. I wanna see…
