One of my analysts worked really hard and really long hours over the last two days, and now another probably has a couple long days coming up. So I brought in blueberry muffins this morning. But I don’t like fruit in baked goods so I haven’t tried them so I have no idea if they’re any good or not. Oh well!

Also, I dropped the littles off at the local drop-in centre. They have a parent relief program where if you sign up you can get free childcare for three hours. We’re going to be using it a lot. The lady watching the kids said that Gnat was good and that TomKitten is a little angel, which is true and unsurprising.
Make lunch? They fed the kids at the drop-in. Might wait a little and then feed Gnat.

I am currently waiting patiently for the hospital to call with the time I need to be there tomorrow for my knee op. Not looking forward to physical therapy on Friday but it needs to be done.

ems - I can tell you from experience - the hurt (and it will be major) will be worth it in the long run. I’m just surprised they’re not starting your PT as soon as you wake up tomorrow.
Fishies and stuff have arrived. It looks like one hermit crab died enroute, but if that’s all we lost, we won’t say anything. All 4 fishies look good, as do the starfish and the anemone and some other things that I can’t recognize. I think some of the freebies were just odds and ends the company wanted to be rid of. 
I’m acclimating them right now - adding a bit of our water to their water so they get accustomed to our chemistry before we dump them in the tank. This normally isn’t a big deal, because we usually just have 2 or 3 n00bs to introduce. But I’ve got 4 bags with fish and 4 bowls with various other critters in and out of bags. Lots of acclimating to do. **FCD **shall pay!!! I see a foot rub in my future. 
**LiLi **- the drop-in center sounds like a life-saver! What do they do if you “forget” what time you need to reclaim your little angels?? Not that I’m suggesting anything.

Well, they only run from nine to twelve, so I have this vision of them turning my kids out into the street to fend for themselves…
I had a four hour meeting this morning with a bunch of liberrians. I was fine for the first 3 hours then the last hours they worked my last nerve. And I can diss liberrians since I is one myself.

I lost 4 pounds last week and did the Snoopy happy dance. I hope I don’t find them next week. Din-din tonight is chicken breast smothered with mushrooms and a thin slice of Swiss cheese, melted under broiler. I need a veggie though…
I had my first latte today. A skinny caramel. Dang, it was good.

Rebo: That’s mighty nice of the guy, and good on you for having the courage to tell him. I’d have been a wimp and not said anything.
EMS: Good luck on the surgery! I’ve never had knee surgery but I have had elbow and back. The best advice I can give is to not take the painkillers and muscle relaxers at the same time (no one told me that, I was a drugged out mess for a week). Also, do what the doc and PT say! PT hurts like hell but it’s so worth it.
I ended up not going to class last night. I was just feeling totally ugh. I’m feeling better now though. I had to get up really early (for me - 7:45am) to go to the dentist today. I had to have molds of my teeth taken to make my new replacement tooth since the terrible Iggy Dammit ate my flipper. Luckily the nesbit was paid for back when I had money and insurance so it’s not costing me anything.
I stopped at the pharmacy on the way home to get my sweetie’s warfarin and I found out that they were having an awesome sale on antacids! It’s so sad that something like this makes me deliriously happy but, it does. I got 195ct of 75mg ranitidine for only $12. Totally made my day.
The only nice thing about getting up early is coming home and going back to sleep so sleep I did. I took a nap from 11am til 3pm and now I feel pretty darn good.
Yay for lazy Wednesdays! Wednesday has been my lazy day ever since I went back to college last fall. It’s the day after the majority of my homework for the previous week is due and I have no looming deadlines for this week’s homework. So, I spend the day not doing homework. I’m going to play some CoH and do some laundry.
It’s chuck wagon and baked NOTs for din din tonight.
What an adorable baby!! My theory is that babies are cute so you don’t feed them to wolves when they wake you up for the 47th time a night…
My bro’s afghan actually went pretty fast. It looks complicated, but it’s a simple pattern - I had it memorized before the first repeat. Honestly, the worst part was managing it as it grew - that’s a lot of stuff to rassle with.
All the fishies and snails and crabs seem to be settled in happily. Can’t wait till the clownfish discover the anemone. But at least we have something to watch now. More to be added eventually.
I don’t feel like cooking, but I’m starved. Gotta figure out something for supper.
Very tired, but there is promise of chicken wings later tonight.
Work is annoying and about to get more so. The leaves are getting brighter and the hair is getting grayer. Also, Little Miss Perky, who got married two weeks ago, is on everyone’s List right now. First of all, she hasn’t shut up about her freaking wedding since she got engaged. Then she called in from Florida two hours before she was supposed to be at work in NC. Then she came back and hasn’t shut up about her honeymoon. I have it on good authority from Big Boss himself that she’s going to get her ears pinned back either today or tomorrow.
However, to counteract that, there is a pig pickin’ on Saturday that Culinary Boy is very excited about and dragging me to. I am willingly being drug.
