The Vernal Equinox crosses this MMP

Morning all. Slept until near 8am then immediately started the laundry, which will be my major project for the day, besides Sudoku and working on youth soccer stuff. Fairly sore from yesterday’s exertions, but it’ll get to feeling better, I hope.

Warm and 70F today. Could get used to that weather.

All y’all have a good Sunday now.

Happy Sunday!

doggio, my plant does inventory every day. (Cycle count program of which I reconcile counts).

Up, caffeinating, breakfasting and in general, lazying around. I took Nelson for a long walk since he isn’t allowed to ride in the rental car, thus make a trip to the dog park. I need to make a Tarjay run today, stop at Staples for a CO2 cartridge and a badge yoyo (the company now only furnishes lanyards, which I hate). Other than that, it’s the usual Sunday chores. I’m fixing salmon patties, fresh snap beans (not sure whether I’ll do them traditional southern style or roasted), fresh sweet corn and do something with zucchini.

Happy Sunday!

Today should be a good day, N.O.S. with a high of 61.

I woke at 4am, got up after 5, ordered groceries, and then fell back asleep.
We’ll pick up groceries later today, and I hope to get a bit more yard irk done.

I had a good time yesterday, and Ripple seemed to enjoy it. He impressed friend2’s family with his good manners. He impresses a lot of people with his good manners, but I don’t take credit for them, he is naturally well behaved when he goes out. Like a kid, he is a brat at home and polite with others.
I got a bunch of stuff out of the house, and then brought home four chairs for the deck. Friend2 is cleaning out her garage. Now when company comes over, not that it happens often, we can sit outside without me having to sit on the porch with my feet on the deck. It’s okay for a short bit, but the bricks get a bit hard on the ass after a while.

It’s going to be a busy day today. In addition to picking up groceries, I will be helping my son with an assignment. It is due tomorrow morning and he keeps changing it. He has to write on a business topic, but the list of what he is NOT allowed to write about is so extensive, it is hard to find something TO write about. It’s supposed to be a persuasive memo, so I wonder if he should pick one of the forbidden topics and try to persuade the professor to let him write about it. I have the first load in the washer, need to get another one done. I want to get some more yard irk done, I need to log into irk for a bit today since I didn’t irk yesterday. I got my wild flower seeds yesterday, and while it is too soon to spread them, we can prepare the area that I want to seed. We should go to the dog park today too. He is tired from yesterday, but it is more of a mental tired than a physical tired. I’m just not sure how to schedule everything.

I am now holier than some of you heathens and we are about to go (wait for it) Lawyer Bowling!

No, this isn’t like Cat Bowling
http://www.catbowling.net/
with lawyers substituted for the cats. This is a fund raiser to help a couple local food banks and related groups sponsored by “Lawyers Against Hunger” and the local bar (not your kind of bar Doggio) association. It should actually be a lot of fun and judging by past events we’ve been to it will end our personal hunger. The lawyers do kick in some major shekels but they also put on a good spread. It should be quite a time!

Epic assignment finally submitted.

It’s glorious sunshine here today, really feeling springlike, and the forecast says it should stay like this for a few days. Most surprising, considering I have a few days basically off now, just a few bits of stuff to do for Wednesday. Warm enough that I gave the bees their first spring check. They’re not quite making as many baby bees as I’d like, but the queen’s present and correct, and they’re bringing in plenty of food, so pretty good.

Howdy Y’all! We have deheathenated and had N.O.L. Chillin’ for a bit before headin’ back to the church house for round two. Rah.

We went to not-too-terrible Chinese for lunch, and when we got back, I started hacking back the wisteria along the side fence. It’s so overgrown, it was difficult to mow along that stretch. I still have a bit more to do, but I decided to quit because I’m tired and sweaty and I’d lost enough blood. There were stickers among the wisteria vines, and they got me good.

So it’s time for Netflix and Knit.

Bratty Ripple found a way out of the yard today, so time was spent finding where he was getting out (pushing against the gate) and fixing it. I need a new front gate, so replacing that is now on the agenda.

Other than that I haven’t gotten much done because I feel lazy today.

Time to head out for the store.

Brace yourselves. Hubby watched a movie with me. This is a sure end of times sign. We watched The Green Book and I highly recommend it.

I have done laundry, dishes, and slothfulmess. Just had a sammich and contemplating a nap.

No way tomorrow can be Moanday already.

Howdy Y’all! Back from the Bishop listenin’ thang. I am actually pleased at the turn out (really didn’t think more than a dozen folks might show up) and we provided goodies to munch on whilst stuff was goin’ on. It was held in the Parish hall as that tends to be a place more people feel good about openin’ up and speakin’ than in the church proper. Everyone knows that in the church proper one must act proper and that sometimes means folks are reluctant to talk. Anywho, ‘tis over. Also I have hauled the biiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. OYKW is abed still feelin’ all sinusy and snuffly, poor thing.

Nuts yay for epic assignment submission.

Butters yay for Margarine decidin’ to sloth for a bit.

Laundry is done, dried, hangered or folded and put in it’s proper place. Three for three on Sudoku’s and Sunday paper has been read. Made some necessary decisions on Soccer and need to communicate them this evening. Still tired from yesterday, but at least the ol’ brain seems to still be functional.

Nuts, congrats on completing the Epic assignment…until the next epic assignement comes along…

ruble, hope the Lawyer bowl was fun (and assuaged your hunger).

Sari, taking it easy is a good thing…I excel at it. And sounds like after yesterday, you deserve a break.

Mooooommm, maybe you need to borrow ruble’s cannon for the wisteria weeding?

sari, Nelson is a little gentleman when we’re out, but in my apartment, shoot, even on the apartment premises, he can be a little a-hole. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sunday chores are done, I swung around a friend’s house while I was out to pick up some craft stuff after she went all Marie Kondo (she’s dabbled in a whole bunch of crafts over the years), walked Nelson and fixed supper. Once KP is done, I’ll kick back in the studio.

I’ve packed my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow - go me! And I’m starting to feel my wisteria adventure in my back… and in the finger where **FCD **extracted a splinter. Shortly, I will mosey back to bed, hoping I can sleep thru the night. I work Moanday, Tuesday, Thursday. My car goes into the shop on Weds for oil change and new tires and probably other expensive things, since it’s at 160K miles.

Thus endeth my weekend.

Yes to both. There was great pizza but what I really damaged was THE BEST chicken caesar salad I have had in ages.

The lawyers were even fun. Two competing personal injury firms each had a ringer; a “researcher” who just happened to be a former PBA player. It was fun watching two people who actually knew how to bowl doing it. Most of the rest of us just had fun. I broke 100 all three of my games but not by a ton. And all the various objections and “see you in court suck-ass” made it an afternoon well spent. I may just do this again next year.

Yeah ------------ Leviticus made me do it.

Besides ---------- tomorrow starts fresh.

Sounds as if the timeline for your new bishop will be faster than ours was. Where is the cathedral for your diocese, in Atlanta?
