I missed some things. How did the girl who had her arm removed end up dead in the office where Beth was stealing a key. Also, I thought they said it was a key to the elevator but I never saw the key used and how did Beth know which key was the correct key?
Looks like Joan walked in there (it wasn’t locked) and opened up her recently sutured stump with scissors, presumably to set up her posthumous revenge against the boss cop via surprise zombie attack.
The key opened the double doors that lead to “foyer” in front of the elevator doors. We see that the first time Beth and doc drop a corpse down the shaft. As for how she found the key-a wizard did it.
She even wrote “fuck you” on the floor in case anyone didn’t get the message.
I assume that the color coding helped her to pick the right one.
So assuming both survive Grady Memorial*, would you favor a Daryl+Carol or Daryl+Beth romance?
Or neither?
Or, this being post-apocalypse new rules, Daryl + (Carol and Beth)?
*Ironic deathplace of Whitman Mayo, best known for playing Grady on Sanford & Son
Daryl and Carol. I don’t dislike Beth, but she seems less substantial than Carol. Carol is now a badass, and I think she’s more attractive anyway.
Plus I think the Daryl and Beth country club episode was hands down the worst Walking Dead episode ever.
Good catch(es).
About the key, I meant she found it and the other doc’s ID awful quickly, in an office full of stuff. It’s unrealistic, but pretty typical fiction pacing. But it’s better that way: who wants to watch 40 minutes of frantic drawer-ransacking?
Carol allthe way! Beth is just too immature.
I liked the reminder that America has cities. I quite liked the episode but wondered why there were zombies in the compound where the white crossed vehicles were parked. Presumably that would be secure.
One of the worst episodes ever
The funniest part was that she picked out of a drawer filled with other keys.
But if the world is ever going to repopulate, it could use a lot of Daryl Juniors running around, making Beth the right choice for the sake of humanity.
But it the characters were to eventually settle down somewhere safe, it wouldn’t actually shock me if Daryl and Carol became a couple, with Beth serving as a sort of concubine/child-factory. I don’t think it’ll actually happen in the show, but both Carol and Beth strike me as pragmatic enough to be cool with that arrangement.
Though, who knows, maybe Noah will be Beth’s new love interest, which unfortunately for him, only decreases his already extremely low likelihood for survival.
Daryl’s like 40, and Beth is 18. Why not Tyreese? Or Carl?
The actor who plays Beth is 24 or something.
Whom would you rather have angry with you?
No relation, so far as I can tell. The cross on the cars was for a hospital, not a church.
Oh, are we speculating about Emily Kinney’s love life? I thought we were talking about Beth.
I remember her from FlashForward, and as Matthew Perry’s dead wife in on Go On (which also starred the actor playing Noah in this ep).
I’ve never seen her in a show that lasted more than a season before now.
For all we know Beth is already with child.
I don’t think the Daryl Beth Carol ship is sailing very far.
