The Walking Dead 5.04 "The Slab" (open spoilers)

How so?

I’m on the Carol / Daryl ship. She’s earned it  and Beth has not.

Well, first the man tells the woman he loves her very much…

Carol is the perfect Trojan horse for an operation like. She looks like someone who meets all their criteria, and would have zero problem playing the compliant housewife role until the right moment too strike (& they’ll never see it coming).

I to want to know who was behind that, but I unless it’s connected to Grady Memorial I think the producers will just leave it unanswered.

At first I just assumed it was just because they were making do with what supplies they had, but the Doctor not training Beth properly makes sense given that he used her to kill Other Doctor. Though assuming he was telling the truth about the internal bleeding & organ damage it was probably unnecessary. :smack: Of course that fact he tricked Beth into killing him suggests that his injuries were survivable even with their resources (or he just didn’t want to take any chances.

On one hand Beth had a very conservative Christian upbringing, on the other hand that exact same arrangement is sanctioned multiple times in the Bible.

There ain’t much else to do on a boring Georgia night in the woods, when your all liquored up.

Nothing was behind it. It was a funeral home and the owner got killed while he was away. The elaborate idea of some kind of bait house never made any sense.

Is anywhere a long way from anywhere in this show? It seems like they’re going in circles or sticking to a relatively small geographic area. Hell, they’ve never even left the state of Georgia, have they?

[QUOTE=voltaire]
both Carol and Beth strike me as pragmatic enough to be cool with that arrangement.

I am so totally cool with it.

I would have thought that Beth would have come up with a better escape plan. Leastwise she would have known better than to try to shoot her way out of a confined space thereby drawing in all of the walkers in the Greater Atlanta area. Lazy ass writing.

I thought she was going to go for the garage door and poke the walkers though the gate with the convenient metal rod that doc showed her.

It wasn’t Beth’s plan. She offered to go along with Noah’s plan. Noah knew the hospital layout as well as, if not better than, anyone. His plan fell apart quickly.

There was also a time limit to the escape. If Dawn had been walkerized in her office, no one might have noticed that Beth and Noah were missing until after they had escaped. Dawn didn’t die, Noah injured his leg, Beth had to fight the walkers in the basement and the parking area by herself. Shooting walkers is still the quickest way to dispatch them.

The following should be “size=1” (Everyone, viewers, writers, and actors, already ignore the horrendous stench of the dead and dying and none of the characters have gone deaf from shooting firearms indoors.)

The he savenaps her, drugs her and has a little bow-chicka-wow-wow on the way back to the hospital.

Later he reminisces over old times by sharing a lollipop (heavy on the loli) with his sweetie.

A classic ZA romance.

Interesting. Nice arrangement for Daryl!

Murder and cannibalism okay, rape not so cool. Not sure if they’ll go there. Beth is the quintessential rapee though. Can’t believe the rape cops spent and hour or more with an unconscious hot chick in the back and didn’t take a little of what they’re convinced she owes them in advance. I could see the head cop woman allowing a baby farm, a la Battlestar Galactica. Yet, I believe there is a Carol inside Beth, slowly working its way out.

As far as Daryl is concerned, Carol is a mommy figure and Beth is a little sister figure. I’m waiting for Daryl to rescue a hot young lad and see what happens.

They will spit and go fishing.

Fishing leads to skinny dipping and playfully splashing around and… what you don’t know how redneck things work?

Or swallow and go fishing.

Either way - fishing is involved.

Just a nitpick, but this episode was titled “Slabtown.” Which makes no real sense, either.

You ask too much.
