A pre-nup makes what is an antiquated, religio-institution a complete and utter joke.
If you’re in love, be together. What’s a ring/ceremony/vows (let alone a contract preempting the failure of!) needed for?
Answer: Nothing, other than to give the female party ‘insurance’ as to her security.
Men roost. Women nest. Males and females are made to procreate, not to necessarily have satisfying, long term relationships. In fact, the opposite is far more likely based on the differences in disposition and how maternal, child oreintated and asexual a female becomes post-pregnancy. Marriage flies in the face of evolution.
One of Tiger’s advisers really should have apprised the dim, hormone-high fellow about this. Would have been a lot cheaper. :rolleyes:
Wonder is Tiger is looking into legal action against the city of Las Vegas, for having relied on their advertising tagline.
I’ve got no problem basically with a pre-nup. But renegotiating the “payoff” after one party proves themself a cad is something quite different.
Watching the Chevron right now. That looks like a heck of a course. Furyk is looking tough! Heck of a shot into 18. Only allusion to Tiger’s travails was Jimmy Rogers calling it “a different kind of week” interviewing the Chevron CEO, and the guy responded “different, but good.”
So, when do you think we will next see Tiger play? Wonder if he might decide this might be a good year to start off early in Hawaii?
Presumably the pre-nup exists to protect Tiger. The majority of clauses are there for his benefit and protection. Perhaps there were clauses his wife didn’t much like, but went along with anyway because she thought they would never be an issue. After the incident, she might look at the pre-nup differently and say something like “You know how we have all those clauses about ‘if I cheat on you’, but none the other way around? I’d like those removed.”
If this is the case, it seems reasonable enough. I suspect there are plenty of similar scenarios that are just as innocent of money grubbing.
Who knows what changes are being made, and why they are being made, and who wants the changes? Anything that is leaked is itself suspect. Has there been anything about his wife’s behavior that is implies she married him for his money?
I’m curious about how the galleries are going to respond once Tiger makes his return. A natural suspicion is that there will of course be some heckling directed at him about all this mess. There will be others there who remain loyal to Tiger and may become angered at anyone who would shout out. I’d not be completely surprised if there were maybe some shouting and even shoving matches between those fan(atic)s that follow him from hole to hole.

Hell, the way Tiger and Steve (over) react when anyone has the temerity to snap a photo, I look forward to the action should anyone actually say what a good many folk are thinking.

I wonder if any of these are just jumping on the bandwagon and really have barely met him. I’m stunned Tiger could keep 10+ side dishes out of the spotlight given his level of fame. We’ve never even heard the “Tiger seen prowling the clubs at Vegas” stories prior to this.
’ Course, he is pretty good at keeping his private life private, but still, you’d think that the rumors would’ve been floating heavy at some point, or even a jilted fling would’ve gotten pissed at outed him by now.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall at those pre-nup renegotiation meetings. He’s not bargaining from a position of strength at this point I would think.
