That is a distinct possibility.
I’ve actually wondered whether to capitalize a username or other proper name that is lower case when it’s the first word of a sentence. Usually, I try to re-write so it’s no longer the first word.
kayaker is my username.
I thought about that, but then I thought, “Who could possibly be insulted by having their name capitalized, especially if it was at the beginning of the sentence?”
Now I know.
doorhinge would become unhinged when his name was capitalized.
When was doorhinge ever hinged in the first place?
You’re doing it right. It’s a proper name (so to speak), so you don’t capitalize it anywhere if the person whose name it is does not capitalize it. Rewriting so it isn’t the first word is the preferred workaround, but if it isn’t possible, you write the name the same way the person does, lack of caps and all.
To “E” or not to “E”, that was the question.
Man, you must get pissed when someone calls it the Democrat party.
democrat party.
Thank you for the correction to my grammatical error. I just found it surprising that someone would consider a mistake of that type to be a deliberate insult.
You and me are gonna go at recess.
I’ll hold your glasses.
Did you sign up to say nothing?
It was an obituary.
Omg. I found it.
I still love that passage from The Gay Science.
It’s not completely bonkers, but it reminds me of how messed up I was back then. It was a long, hard road to become the person that I am today.
You should have used the @Czarcasm feature. You look more internet savvy that way.
Please don’t be offended, but TL;DR. That said, I’m impressed at the confidence you displayed by making your first post an actual OP. My posting history is still downloading, but IIRC, it was several weeks between my first post, and my first OP.
I think it was my first post but I can’t actually remember. 2008 feels like ages ago.
My first post was also an OP. It’s also a relic of the pre YouTube days, where you can now see the footage! (Before it gets taken down again)
