manhattan, who modded with distinction; I may not have agreed with him politically, but he was a sharp, sharp dude. [NB: I was surprised to see that his profile says he visited a couple of months ago. He hasn’t posted in years.]
Sofa King, who left when we went PtP and hasn’t been back since. It was months before the penny dropped for me on his name.
Master Wang-Ka, who told some of the most entertaining stories on the board. I think only Sampiro matches him in this respect (and boy, am I glad Sampiro has stuck around).
auntie em, SkipMagic’s wife, who kept us on the edge of our seats when a coworker went missing.
iampunha, editor par excellence who liked to run naked through threads.
AntaresJB, who sang for us at a Gettysdope or two.
Damn, this thread is depressing. And it doesn’t even include the folks we know died, many of whom I also miss. <sniffle>

I wonder what happened to Loach. I don’t remember any of his posts, but the username sounds familiar.
I think your method is pretty sound: the top 3 people are people I’ve wondered about.
This is why I make it a policy to tell people when I’m leaving, so that, if I don’t tell you, you know that something’s wrong.
Thanks for the comment on the search approach. I’m in the process of reducing the names in this thread by way of the “Who Posted?” list to just the ones already mentioned. I’ll post that list as soon as I can, probably an hour minimum.
Meanwhile, does anybody know a quick way (avoiding the 2-minute search times) to look up a user’s profile by way of the name itself?
Here’s the list of non-posters to this thread (as determined from the “Who Posted?” list). Where I wasn’t sure of correct spelling(s) I left multiples.
The ++BANNED++ list I left alone.
The obvious “spelling” issues are there as they appeared.

Listing some of those names is at the least insensitive and even cruel, as a quick check of this thread should tell you.

Weirdly, I thought I’d checked that Arden Ranger hadn’t posted in a while (I SWEAR I saw her last posting was as of a couple years ago), and yet, today, I find she’s posted … today!
So she doesn’t belong on the list anymore. My bad.

Well, hello. 
I was gone for a bit. A number of my favorite people were leaving and my membership expired around the time I got bogged down with depression and other real world ick. I’ve been slowly getting back into things while I ry to figure out who the heck all these new people are!t
Whatever happened to Shot with guns? Maybe I have the name wrong, but haven’t seen any posts from her in a while, and she used to be everywhere.
If you mean Shot From Guns, her last post was in September.
Better than nothing I guess. You probably just remember from the Death Pool which I do horrible in. I used to post more and be a daily visitor. Now I let my charter membership lapse and I don’t post much. I have been distracted by other bright shiny objects.

I also ran into some posts from my ex, which was bittersweet… he only posted 25 times altogether, he much preferred a different board, but his posts here were funny and smart, reminding me of how funny and smart he is and how much I miss him.
Maybe it was because the name was so out there, but neuro-trash grrrl?
And the last time **UncleBeer **posted was almost 3 years ago. I always liked him.
