Will This Be The MMP?

But, But, But I am Buttercup.

Am I the only one who remembers that we have an occasional Mumper named Buttercup Smith?
Thanks for remembering me Mooooom

Home. the Pizza Fairy had dinner ready for me.

{{{{{wiki}}}}}:frowning:

I’m so sorry, wiki. Hugs and condolences to you and your whole family.:frowning:

I’m going to add your jam tips to the blog, Mommmmmmm.

Interesting about all that punctuation, Nava. I’d never heard of the high comma being used as a decimal.

Tired.

Should have worked on irk stuff, but didn’t. Maybe in the morning.

Hugs all.

GT

Can you medicate and bandage the affected area instead?

(((((Wiki))))), I’m so sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to you and your family. I hope you find strength and comfort from your friends, real and virtual, to keep you going. You know we’re all here for you!

Fortunately he’d not going to leave us hanging with the end of Dance with Dragons, the next two books are not released yet but the working titles are The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. I read somewhere that he has slowed down on writing the new books because he’s been devoting so much time to working on the TV versions but he’d better get on with it because some of us are very impatient!

Man… I was looking at ticket prices for the opera…

200€? ¡OSTIA! Can you say ostia here? And that’s in the nosebleed seats…

Aida or no Aida, if I get a DVD I’ll be able to see the pretty dresses without squinting :stuck_out_tongue: For the price of two tickets I can get the DVD and a new computer on which to play it.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 89 and yet again a fifty percent chance of rain that has of yet to happen. They lie!

Butters of course we remember you. We nicknamed you Butters remember? There should be no confusion. Or at least there should be no more confusion than normal for this place.

FlyTrap in the future, when you bathe the dog, put him in the baby grass to shake off. That way you bathe the dog and water at the same time. I should write a helpful hints column.

Nava not only could you buy the DVD and a new computer, you might even be able to afford some costumes so you could dress up and play along with Aida. How much fun would that be!

Wait a minute… StickyBuns is afraid of a haunted hotel/b&b/inn but is going to a cemetary and is excited about it? :stuck_out_tongue:

ETA: Nava blasphemed! :stuck_out_tongue:

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. At least it’s Firday.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Good morning. We were cheated out of rain again last night. It’s as if this county has a force field that deflects water. Dammit. Maybe we’ll have better luck today.

Of course we will - my daughter is coming over to help me clean out our sheds. I figure we’ll be halfway into it when the skies open. That’s Murphy’s law, right??

When I talked to my sweetie last night, I found out exactly what’s going on in PA (**rosie **- he’s in Johnstown. Even if we were inclined to relocate, your house wouldn’t be any better than commuting from here…) Anyway, he’s organizing them into a proper manufacturing facility.

That part of the company makes the wiring harnesses for UAVs. According to FCD, they had all their tools, including the ones that were *supposed *to be calibrated, tossed in a pile on a folding table. Very professional. And because they’ve been rather random in their quality control, they’ve had close to a 50% failure rate. Idiots!!!

So FCD, being the only person in the whole company who spent any time in manufacturing industries, is doing things like organizing their tools and workflow, establishing quality checks to be done along the way, and generally trying to teach them how to be professional. If he manages to change the mindset up there, they can become quite profitable - duh! But apparently there’s a lot to be done, so he’ll be spending 2-3 days a week for the next few months in the wilds of Johnstown, PA. I think he’d really enjoy the assignment if it was here and not there. Oh well…

Has anyone else noticed that we’ve had particularly chatty MMPs last week and this? Up to page 5 already, and last week, we hit 7. I guess we’re all huddled inside avoiding the heat, except the few outliers who have lucked out… :stuck_out_tongue:

Regardless, it’s another day in paradise! Happy Firday!!!

No, you are Butters, as in the kid from South Park. **Buttercup, **however, is short for Princess Buttercup, and can therefore be called Princess in times of cornfuzzion.

Did not, I was studying Italian geography.

Buttercup may be your name, but Butters is your nickname.

Hmmmm. It can get confusing. I suggest TPR should be Westley to avoid confusion.

Spidey, I keep forgetting to say - you don’t actually have to worry about it spreading. What seems like spreading is actually you reacting to your initial exposure. It can take up to 3 weeks to finish reacting. I learned that somewhere on the Dope. Ogre shared a bunch of information about it. I think the upshot of the advice was that if you weren’t able to prevent the reaction by thoroughly washing within a couple of hours, your best recourse was oatmeal baths (look for Aveeno) and hydrocortisone cream. If it gets really bad, doctors can give you cortisone injections to calm things down. I actually went back to find the thread the other day, but got distracted and never linked to it.

Nava -   How many people actually attend at those prices?

Butters, don’t worry, we generally manage to keep everyone straight sorted out despite the chaos).

Just read a depressing article that said the drought could last into October… :frowning: On the plus side, it looks like we got a little rain last night.

Up and at 'em! It’s Firday!

Hugs.

Thistruly made me LOL just now!

I really need to get started with my chores…

Dunnow, but www.liceubarcelona.cat shows an eyeballed 90% sold seats for any show in the next 10 days.

Excellent advice, Sir!

My Sweet Avenger is laying in bed still asleep and here I am cracking up. Thanks, swampy!

But, uh, yeah, I guess you summed it up accurately. I will say, however, that I’m not going to sleep in the cemetary! And, really, I didn’t get much sleep here last night either. When I was asleep I was having nightmares about ghosts in the hotel. Incidentally this is the same thing that happened last time I was in a haunted hotel, too.

Tonight we’ll be staying in a nationally known chain hotel. I hope to sleep much better.

At any rate, happy morning to everyone! It’s raining here, but I don’t mind so much. Especially since we’re driving a rental and we don’t have to worry about my van’s wonky air system that always fogs up all the windows when it rains.

ETA: ** FCM**, now you’ve got me cracking up too. Love the link!

In layman’s terms, it’s gonna get worse, and there is nothing you can do. :frowning:

My mom’s Christmas in July party is tomorrow. It *was *supposed to be a pool party. Weather may prohibit that, but luckily, she’s got a huge basement, so the party will go on regardless. Knowing my mom, she’s already got tons of food prepared - she HAS to have the party! And I have to go because I have 8 jars of jam for her. And she has some stuff for me…

Dishwasher has been emptied, kitchen is tidied, cat box is cleaned, cat water is refreshed, cat hork stain on the carpet has been cleaned, rest of the carpet has been vacuumed. I’m just waiting for my slug-a-bed daughter to show up. She’s not a morning person - no clue when she’ll get here. Oh well…

HEE!!! That cracked me up MOOOOOOM!

This is as close as I’ve ever actually gotten to opera.

I don’t want to be at irk. Ick!
