I’ve been trying to make sense of lots of things, including all these roleclaims, and I’m still inclined to believe everyone. But I don’t suspect everyone who doubts them either. Sigh.
I’m still trying to use the votes as a source of info, but since so many people aren’t voting, that’s really hard. Our last lynch was based on the votes of 12/21 players. 9 of you were still alive and didn’t vote. The lynch is the only way for vanilla town to exercise our power, and it’s also, IMHO, one of the best ways to look for scum. In my previous games, it was a major source of suspicion when you didn’t vote–fewer townies voting is bad for town; it lets scum drive the lynch. And we still outnumber them by quite a bit right now. Also, pressuring the scum to make votes means there’s a record of what they did.
Sorry to sound like I’m taking you all to task, but I feel like we’re relying on power roles who could be KILLED at any time to solve the game for us. I’ve actually made my spreadsheet up-to-date, cleaned it up, and published it online, so in case I get killed, here’s the link:

Ha, I guess Dawn should have come almost an hour ago, but now that I’m back in the Central Time Zone, I missed that. I already hate living in the one timezone that gets the shaft. Seriously, who’s home and settled and ready to watch TV at 7PM?
If you say Cookies is scum, and we find this to be true through lynching her then you will not be confirmed.
There are two ways to confirm you. Negative confirmation - if you say scum and death shows town, or you say town and death shows scum - will show you are not who you claim to be. Positive confirmation that you are who you say you are is only achievable through your death. This is something that should happen on Day 6.
On another note, both pedescribe and Hawkeyeop seem to be confused by my earlier posts. To attempt to clarify: I think we’re spending too much time discussing who NAF is going to investigate and too little hunting scum. (NAF is right when he says that nobody’s making cases against other players.) I think the best solution to this is for NAF to focus on the low-post-count players and let town focus on people who have given us material to analyse. If NAF doesn’t feel he can do that (and his posts above suggest that he is reluctant to do so) then town needs shift its focus to low-count posters. Arguing over whether or not we should even be looking at Cookies (or Chucara, or whoever’s next on the list) is a big waste of our time.

I don’t really see why we can’t just let NAF get on with it and investigate cookies. It makes more sense to me to get two confirmations without having to lynch one of them to find out.
The capitalization thing’s already been proven to be crap anyway.
I’ve no idea whether cookies is town or scum or whatever but I very much doubt the game’s going to end by waiting an extra Day to find out. Surely it’s more important to get the extra information?
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find story had put in a bit of extra information into one of his roles even though it is a little unusual, but let’s face it, how many claims so far have been ‘normal’?
I also don’t understand why, if cookies isn’t lynched, zeriel’s being touted as the other possible lynchee. There are plenty of other people to choose from so why is it an either or? I realise only a couple of people have suggested it but it still doesn’t make sense.

True, but we aren’t going to find out in a day. We will find out what NAF says Cookies is in a day, but we won’t actually find anything out til we lynch or vig NAF.
I’m with Hawkeye on this one, we need to kill NAF before he says we should. The longer we wait, the more we screw ourselves if he is scum.
OTOH, if he is who he says he is, we do need to wait long enough so that he actually has a list of who we can trust.
True, though I haven’t figured out for myself when the best time to lynch him would be yet. Regardless, as we’re not lynching him yet, surely it makes sense for him to get information about as many players as possible. As investigating cookies gives information on two players then that’s a net benefit.
Of course he could be lying but that’d be the case whoever he investigated.
Though I really don’t think he is lying but that’s just a feeling.
Y’all are damn lucky my death will provide solid data. This is a piss-poor case against me. Not as piss-poor as attributing someone else’s “me too” votes as mine, or calling me out for ignoring questions about a non-existent contradiction that I made, but still piss-poor.
you’re not near to being lynched yet, are you? Day hasn’t even begun and I thought we decided Night lynches aren’t so likely.

That’s all you got? I admit I haven’t been all that active, but most of it was during the holidays. When I voted for Jsexton I said myself it was a me too vote. Then I unvoted and voted Macey. Then I hounded peeker about his confession, but because I was busy at work, I missed the opportunity to vote for him. Sorry! Then today I said that Cookies claim stunk. Not exactly insubstantial. You got me on that Day One me too first vote of the game though. :rolleyes:
Anyway, I don’t think voting for Cookies is the right call toMorrow. Let NAF (who I think is telling the truth) do his thing. Let Diggit (who I think is telling the truth) do his thing. We have all Day to decide who to vote for. (Not me BTW).
