I’m rather satisfied that I’m of such an age that I don’t have to question people’s intentions when they ask to be friends on FB.
They’re usually jazz musicians or fans, anarchists, relatives, RL friends, a few SDopers as well. One of my friends is the guy to whom I nearly lost my virginity <cough cough> decades ago, but we’re both long in the tooth, so we can discuss SF books, and occasionally exchange messages. We’ve never mentioned our erotic episode, and I don’t think we’ll be going there.

Well, if that’s your thing then I feel bad for you. My points remain. Lost love is a very common regret. People like me and ETV are normal. Also, insults are projections of your own insecurity.

I’m not insulting anybody. Do you feel insulted? I was pointing out that it wasn’t surprising that you were on ETV’s side on this issue based on your many previous posts about Facebook stalking ex and never-were girlfriends.
It’s not so much that I’m on his side. I was just pointing out that it is a very common feeling and not to listen to people who call him stupid and lame.

I disagree. I was speaking to the OP and topic at hand. Bob Ducca made it a point to highlight some of my past transgressions that don’t show me in a good way. I don’t think for a second it is anything beyond a passive-aggressive personal attack. Why else would he bring it up?
