At work, had a really bad night so I’m really tired. Today I get to take a full hour for lunch (and not have to work through my lunchbreak) so I can get my hair cut. Then it’s off to the pub tonight for beerverages which is something to look forward to. However, the new diet plan says I can only have 2 pints so I’ll have to make the most of it!
Hugs all round to everyone, I think we are all still in need, and a bunch of positive thoughts to LiLi and Mr Lissar 'cos no news is supposed to be good news and that must mean tnc is finally ready to show himself.
What, no baby? Hmmmph. Hope all is well. Am off to work soon. It was supposed to get COLD here, but I woke up to a suspiciously warm house (it’s old and drafty). The thermostat says 70, but it feels warmer. Now the high today is 40. (what happened to bitter winders and highs of 15. I’ll never believe weathermen again).

Snow/sleet is supposedly headed this way, from the -south-, tomorrow afternoon, so I need to get a full day in today because I’ll probably leave work at noon tomorrow. I’m -not- going to be standing outside waiting for public transit while it’s sleeting. I’m not!

Shadow I’m so glad to see the therapy and the job are goin’ so well for ya! Keep it up. You got all kinds of strange extended internet family pullin’ for ya. Oh and those TV/DVD combo thingys are always a crapshoot. Seems to me they are either really really good or they tear up after a couple of months. It’s what I’ve noticed with everybody I know who has one, including those TV/VCR combos. Stoopid things!
Hmmm… still no TNC that we know of. Here’s hopin’ everything is goin’ well for LiLi. Prayers and good thoughts goin’ out from south Jawja.

Not much to report here. Same ol’, same ol’. Oh, but yesterday we found out my company is moving into a brand-new-being-built-now building. It should be awesome! Covered parking garage, on-site restaurant, gym, dry-cleaners! It sounds like it will be nice, and it’s not too much farther than what I drive now. Maybe 30 minutes instead of 20. 1st quarter of '09.

I’ve been at work for thirty minutes and I’m still waiting for today’s reference project. I saw my boss leaving the offices as I came in, so I don’t know if she’s out at the help desk or in a meeting or what. I’m gonna investigate to see if there’s anything for me today or if I can get paid for surfin’ the Dope.

If you use NeoOffice for Intel Macs, do not install patch 2.2.2 I’ve only had it for a couple of minutes and have already found 2 or 3 bugs within the print process.
It was 22 degrees here this morning… and felt warm. 
So way back when, I got a scholarship/loan from my high school for college. It was still new when I got it, and I was only the 2nd person to get it, also making me the 2nd person to need to start paying it back. Being a really really small school (25 in my graduating class, including 4 exchange students), they aren’t totally organized about this stuff. They don’t send bills or invoices, and they don’t expect monthly payments or anything like that. The first few checks I sent in a few years ago got cashed just fine, but then I sent a check in fall '05 that didn’t get cashed for about 6 months, including a couple trips by my parents to the school to talk to them about it. (Parents were still living within 1/2 a mile of the school at that point… now they’re far away too.) Then I moved and was generally not thinking about this scholarship so I didn’t send another check until Sept ‘07. (Not that the school seemed to care, or even notice.) And the check from Sept still hasn’t been cashed. WTH? I called in November to ask about it and they reassured me that they’d cash it soon. Right. That was two months ago! I’m sending you money! Do something with it! How am I supposed to pay off this #$@& loan if you don’t cash the frickin’ checks? And why should I send any more checks if you never cash the ones I send? I only owe $2k on that (after the last check I sent, if they ever cash it) and I’m wondering if I should just not send any more checks until they get their act together and come ask me for it. Ugh. It shouldn’t be this hard to repay a debt or to get someone to cash a check you send them. But then again, this scholarship/loan was set up by the superintendent who was just arrested on charges of embezzlement. So… :rolleyes:
