The draft has been submitted and the season has begun within yahoo. We’ll now have a 2 day period of waivers for anyone that was undrafted/unowned. It should end before the game on Thursday night, at which point normal week 1 waivers kick in.
Please double check your rosters are correct, both with keepers and draft picks.

@SenorBeef - waiver freeze is currently until 9/5, which makes it functionally impossible to claim any player on the Eagles or Cowboys before week 1. Can we fix that?
So it looks like I can’t change waivers once they’ve already begun, changing it to 1 day waivers did nothing. Would probably affect the next waiver period but not the current one.
We submitted the draft more than 48 hours before the Thursday night game, but I guess yahoo tends to handle waivers at the end of the day, so I’m guessing it’s using 11:59pm as our waiver begin time rather than when we actually submitted the waiver results.
So for this one time only, if you’re interested in a player that was not drafted/owned that is playing in the Thursday night game, send me a PM titled “waiver claim” with a player name and a FAAB bid. I won’t look at it until a couple of hours before the Thursday night opener and then I’ll manually process it. All other post-draft waivers should function as normal.
Setting my roster now I notice I have a red warning at the top of my roster page about how the draft must be completed by 11:59 PT tonight. Our draft is completed, though, right? I have all my players. Why the warning?
EDIT: I think (in my hazy, stoned state) that warning has been up forever, and never went away because I never closed it.

It’s also in the HHM league even though we concluded the draft there, too. I think yahoo either displays that message to all leagues, or at least some of them, even though they’re complete. We’re fine for week 1.
Reminder for @dalej42 and @Really_Not_All_That_Bright to set their rosters. Dale has players he should start tonight but RNATB doesn’t. Because of the way the keeper/draft system works yahoo doesn’t pre-fill your rosters in this league, you have to do it yourself.
As per my post a few posts ago about doing a waiver wire for tonight’s game on the board, no one submitted any waivers for tonight’s game. But the date on our post-draft waivers processing is Sep 5, and there’s a good chance that won’t occur until after the game, so if you’re interested in picking up a player from Friday’s game BEFORE it starts, send me a waiver claim via PM with name and FAAB bid. Once the game starts it becomes part of the normal post-game waiver process.
Argh. Meant to start Pickens as a flex. Beef can you fix that? He only has 1.1 points at time of writing and I think it’s pretty obvious I was going to play him given my injuries.
I believe you and I know you’re not gaming the system at all, and I try to accomodate everyone, but I don’t like to touch rosters after the game has already begun for that player. There has to be a line somewhere, and I think the start of the game generally is it, barring unusual circumstances. If I make an adjustment for you 20 minutes after the game started, in the future if someone asks me to make a similar move 30 minutes after the game has started, it’d be hard to turn that down given the precedent, and so on.
This probably works in your favor because by the time I saw this Pickens is still having a bad game at 1 point, so as your opponent, it would benefit me to stick him in this slot. But as commish, I have to draw the line somewhere, and the start of the game probably has to be it.
