He Hate Me Keeper League 2021 - Year 19

SDMB He Hate Me Keeper League

Can Dave become the first-time threepeater?
Can anyone stop NIN’s late-round keeper Josh Allen?
Can Munch convince the league to finally get rid of kickers?
Can we find enough replacement players to continue the league one more season?

Keeper Rules

  1. You can only keep a maximum of 3 players.
  2. You can only keep players drafted after the second round (third rounders or later only.)
  3. A player can only be kept a maximum of twice. (Making 3 total roster years.)
  4. A kept player incurs a two round penalty (e.g: drafted in the 6th, kept in the 4th.)

I don’t think I’m going to be able to go through and figure out people’s potential keepers, so please make sure you click the league link at the top and see what you’ve got. Welcome back, everyone - I think this is going to be a fun year of football trying to figure out which COVIDiot to avoid that’ll tank that one crucial week…

Can you resend the join link? I don’t see my team listed when I log into yahoo. The link above takes me to the league page from last year

I have not checked against multiple keeper years other than my own team - but keepers from last year are marked with a square.

Got it this time, I use a different email for fantasy sports only. I’m back and eager for football to start!

I will probably be keeping:

Sadly, my all-time WR man-crush, Chris Godwin, has exhausted his two seasons of keeper eligibility and I will likely have to watch him run off with someone else’s ball (and heart).

Is the draft order set?

Late, but here I am. Will declare any keepers soon.

Do we have a draft date?

Nope. We gotta get this thing moving.

I cannot draft before 8:30pm eastern. I’d prefer to draft during the week rather than a weekend. I’ll post draft order later.

I think this league has always drafted the day after labor day (tuesday) at 8:30 eastern. That would be Sep 7 this year.

We’re missing 4 players from last year: Quack Attack (Sir T-cups), Post Mahomes (his wife), Disgruntled Goats (motu), Omnipotents (omniscient). I will send out a round of PMs.

I will be keeping DK Metcalf in the the 7th, and probably David Montgomery in the 3rd and D’Andre Swift in the 4th, but I’m undecided on the latter two. They’re relatively good value there, but not slam dunks.

IIRC, we allow the trading of draft picks. I am currently toying with the idea of keeping JK Dobbins for my second round pick (currently pick #16). It’s not great value, but the way this league seems to work, a solid if unspectacular back, can be a huge asset.

Now, if someone who is picking later in the second round wanted to move up to pick #16 in return for their 2nd round pick and some value*, that would seem to be a win/win for both of us.

  • Some value is, of course, completely subjective.

If interested, shoot me a pm

I think we got ride of pick trading a few years ago.

We did a while back. I’d have to dig through the old threads but I remember pushing for it for years because I thought that was a very silly rule and finally sometime around maybe 2016 or 2017 it was voted out. In a separate but somewhat related issue, trading keeper eligibility for picks (ie swapping picks for the right to keep a player that one owner could keep but won’t) was also banned a couple of years later.

Hey all thanks for the PM reminder

Unfortunately, both Mrs. Cups and I will not be participating this year. We are expecting our little girl (our first!) sometime at the end of September. With a newborn we aren’t going to have the time to manage a fantasy team.

I’m in, no keepers
