3) Is Renee taking over all of the Jack action (“Jacktion”) this season?
A: I don’t know, but Jack thinks she’s not ready. Ostensibly because she’s attempted suicide. But I think he just doesn’t want his records broken. (Hey, he shot a prisoner/Federal witness and cut off his head in season 2…)

Previously on 24:

  • Dana got slapped around a bit by her abusive ex. Pretty much as expected.

  • Renee gets her buddy “One-Thumb” shot by Vladimir. She bluffs Vlad by not really bluffing (“pull the trigger. DO IT!”), and now her cover is set. Now they are probably off to his hotel room to live out her latest vampire fantasy.

  • Jack sits in the car for the entire episode, listening to Renee. But at least he manages to get two good "DAMMIT!"s in.

  • A new subplot begins while Jack rests. Radioactive Son of a Russky Mob Boss is taken to a doctor by his do-gooder brother, against Dadsky’s wishes.

Jack needs to get into the action this week. I’m just sayin.

Well, at least we’re getting to a quick double-cross plot, so perhaps Jack will get back to some real action in the next half hour, meeting with Vlad’s Henchman.
